Privacy Policy — GPXplorer and GPXplorer Pro

GPXplorer respects your privacy. The developer does not collect, store, sell, or use personal data for advertising, analytics, or tracking. Most processing takes place locally on your device.
Photos
GPXplorer Pro may request access to your Photo Library to find and display photos associated with a selected track and, following an explicit action, update their date, time, or location.
Photos are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to the developer or external servers. GPXplorer Free does not access the Photo Library.
GPX and KML Files
GPX and KML files selected by the user are processed locally to display, analyze, edit, combine, and export tracks. The developer does not receive or store these files.
The app accesses only files and folders explicitly selected by the user. Original files are preserved unless the user explicitly chooses an action that replaces a file.
Location
The app may request access to your current location to center the map on your position. This location is processed by the app for that purpose and is not collected by the developer.
Location access can be denied or revoked without preventing the use of GPX and KML tracks.
Maps and External Cartographic Services
The app uses Apple Maps and may download map tiles from OpenStreetMap when the corresponding map style is selected. These services receive the network information normally required to provide map content, such as the device’s IP address and the geographic area being displayed.
When the user explicitly activates cartographic marker analysis in GPXplorer Pro, the app sends a simplified representation of the selected route to the public Overpass API at overpass-api.de. This request is used only to retrieve nearby OpenStreetMap features. The developer does not receive or store the route or the results of the request.
The use of OpenStreetMap services is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy. Apple services are governed by Apple’s applicable privacy policies.
Data Stored on the Device
GPXplorer stores local preferences and technical information needed for its operation, such as map display settings, cartographic-analysis consent, workspace state, and references to folders selected by the user.
This information remains on the device and can be removed by disconnecting the relevant folder, resetting the applicable setting, or uninstalling the app.
Accounts, Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
GPXplorer does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, user tracking, or third-party advertising SDKs.
Revoking Permissions and Deleting Local Data
Photo Library and location permissions can be changed or revoked at any time in the Privacy & Security section of iOS Settings.
Access to a connected folder can be removed from within the app. Uninstalling GPXplorer deletes the app’s locally stored preferences and data. The developer has no server-side copy of this information.
