This Privacy Policy describes how data is handled by RSSEnce, an iOS application developed by Giuseppe La Guardia.

Personal Data
RSSEnce does not require users to create an account.
The developer does not collect personal data, store it on developer-controlled servers, sell it, or share it with third parties.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking technologies.
Data Stored on the Device
To provide its features, RSSEnce stores the following information locally on the user’s device:
  • Addresses and names of RSS feeds and websites added by the user;
  • Folders, news digests, and organization preferences;
  • Articles downloaded from feeds, including titles, authors, dates, available text, URLs, and image references;
  • Read status, saved articles, and app preferences.
This information is not transmitted to servers controlled by the developer.
RSSEnce also stores a backup of the library structure—including feeds, folders, and news digests—in the iOS Keychain. This allows the library to be restored after the app is reinstalled. Articles are not included in this backup.
The Keychain backup may remain on the device after the app is uninstalled.
Connections to External Websites and Services
RSSEnce connects directly from the user’s device to websites and feed addresses selected by the user in order to:
  • Discover RSS feeds on a website;
  • Download and refresh feeds and articles;
  • Load images linked by publishers;
  • Open articles in the integrated viewer or Safari.
During these connections, the website or feed operator may receive ordinary network information, such as the user’s IP address, the date and time of the request, the device type, or the user agent.
The processing of this information is governed by the privacy policy of the relevant website and is outside RSSEnce’s control.
When an article is opened in Safari or the integrated Safari viewer, Safari’s settings, cookies, and privacy protections also apply.
In-App Purchases
The RSSEnce Complete unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
RSSEnce only checks whether the unlock has been purchased. The developer does not receive or store payment-card details or Apple Account credentials.

App Icon Badge
If the user enables the app icon badge, RSSEnce requests the relevant iOS permission and updates the number of new articles locally.
The app does not use this permission to send advertising notifications and does not operate remote push notifications.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on the device until the user removes the relevant items or deletes the app’s data.
Uninstalling RSSEnce removes its main database. However, the library-structure backup stored in the Keychain may remain available for restoration after a future installation.
To remove this backup before uninstalling the app, users can delete all feeds, folders, and news digests from RSSEnce. The app will then update the Keychain backup with the empty library.
The developer does not hold remote copies and cannot access or remotely delete data stored on the user’s device.
Children’s Privacy
RSSEnce is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal data.
All displayed content comes from feeds and websites selected by the user.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app’s features or applicable legal requirements change.
The latest revision date will always appear at the beginning of this page.
